Letter to the Members - December
Dear Members Well the Holidays are upon us! At this time of year, thoughts turn to family and
friends. But we as Elks always turn our thoughts to the higher and nobler charities of thought, word and deed. Let us not forget
those who are less fortunate and let us show our families of good fellowship that Elks indeed Care and Elks indeed Share! The
true meaning of Elkdom is not far from that of this very special time of year. As Good Fellowship approaches on the 20th let us all think of what we can do to grab the hand in friendship, to bring rest to the
weary, to lighten others burdens and to comfort those who mourn. Also, thank you to all who helped for the DDGER visit; a good time was had by all. Hats off to Dick Kohlbeck and the Veterans
committee for a very successful Veterans Night and do not forget the Memorial Service on December 7.
With regret I announce that I have accepted the resignation of our 4 year Trustee Kelly Collins for personal reasons. I thank him
for his contributions and efforts for the Lodge. Nominations for 4 Year Trustee were taken at the Nov. 20th meeting and will be
open for any additional nominations at the Dec 4th meeting with election and Installation of the new Trustee at that meeting.
In the interim until the election and installation, I have appointed Joel Rhyner temporarily to the 4 Year Trustee position. As always remember the parking raffle is available and the weather is getting to look more "Wisconsinish”.
